Sabir Lewis Foundation (SLF) is a non-profit organisation based out of Wakiso, Uganda (registration number: 80034135838155) dedicated to empowering refugee and street children, host communities and individuals through a commitment to transparency, accountability, fairness, and intersectionality. Our foundation operates with the core belief that sustainable development is achieved by addressing immediate and long term diverse needs of individuals while upholding the principles of justice and equity. We do this using grounded and participatory approaches with a focus on evidence. Sabir Lewis Foundation imagines refugee and host communities and individuals empowered, with sustainable development realised through their expressed needs and desires. We actively seek communities feedback and inputs rather than relying on preconceived notions to guide our actions.

Sabir Lewis Foundation envisions empowered refugee and street children and youth, where sustainable development is achieved through justice, equity, and inclusive practices, and sustainable development realised through their expressed needs and desires.
Our Approach
Central to our methodology lies the intersectional approach. We actively seek feedback and inputs of refugee and street children and youth viewing them as collaborators of the initiatives we undertake rather than relying on preconceived notions to guide our actions.
Mission
Sabir Lewis Foundation aims to enhance the quality of life for refugee and street children and youth populations by implementing programmes that promote education, healthcare, economic empowerment, and social justice.
